Substratum

Substratum is a menswear line developed for my Adobe Illustrator course, designed for a Pacific Northwest professional aged 25–45 who values style, functionality, and authenticity. He works in an office environment but expresses his true personality through time spent outdoors—exploring trails, grabbing coffee, reading, and connecting with friends in his community. He appreciates fashion and invests in pieces that balance a masculine, elevated aesthetic with the practicality needed for the PNW’s misty, rain-soaked climate, which is reflected through breathable structured outerwear, office-ready knitwear, and versatile weather-resistant trousers. Subtle textural contrasts and intentional fabric pairings highlight his preference for craftsmanship and longevity, creating a wardrobe that feels refined yet deeply rooted in everyday wearability.
